Students in Clinical Medical Assistant are trained in the following subject areas:
- Preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations, and keeping the rooms neat and clean
- Interviewing patients to obtain medical information and measuring their vital signs, weight, and height
- Assisting physicians during patient exams
- Recording patients’ medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records
- Using emergency first aid
